Requirement
"Search for a Corporate Social Responsibility project that allows the Corporate Affairs Vice Presidency to showcase the company's commitment to environmental issues and sustainability, communicate it to internal and external audiences, and strengthen ETB's image among the people of Bogotá."
Proposal
Creating a circular economy project that addresses the need to give better use to employees' uniforms to prevent unused garments from being sold or given away to third parties, thus damaging the company's image. To maximize social impact, the Global Women's Corporation, which works with entrepreneurs in challenging contexts, was contacted. Through them, the uniforms were repurposed into utility items such as backpacks, pencil cases, and pouches instead of being incinerated. The project was named "Stitching Smiles."
Results
Through an internal communication campaign, which included various pieces, videos, discussions, and a landing page, among other elements, broadcasted across all company channels, we managed to connect with ETB technicians and achieved a massive donation of over 3000 uniforms and lab coats. In its first phase, these were transformed into school supplies that reached 700 boys and girls from schools affiliated with the Bogotá Institute of Recreation and Sport, and the ETB-RedPapaz School Network. In the second phase, with the guidance of designer María Luisa Ortiz, they were repurposed into utility pouches that technicians currently use in their work.
